Responsibilities of the Bar Manager:
  • Report to the General Manager.
  • Coordinate daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
  • Regularly review product quality and alcohol controls.
  • Order liquor, beer, and wine weekly.
  • Organize and supervise shifts.
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
  • Train staff for bartender positions and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Estimate future needs for goods, glassware, and cleaning products.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Manage the restaurant’s image and suggest improvements.
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to reduce waste.
  • Use detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses.
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and events.
  • Recommend new cocktails and draft rotations.
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience, including discounts and social media ads.
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
  • Implement policies and protocols to maintain future operations.

Bar Manager Requirements:
  • 3+ years of management experience, including bar management.
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
