Certified Medical Assistant for Highly Specialized, World-Renowned Surgical Practice

Duties: 
  • Greet patients in waiting area, assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently, escort patients to discharge counter
  • Obtain patient history; assess/triage patient, measure vital signs, draw blood for labs and record information on chart
  • Explain to the patients what they can expect during their appointment
  • Clean and sterilize exam rooms and equipment after use
  • Assist physician with any in office procedures
  • Complete medical chart to include medical services rendered, test results, and supplies used
  • Perform patient call backs, arrange referrals and testing, and do post-op follow-up calls

Requirements:
  • OB/GYN experience: 1-2 years experience 
  • Medical assisting experience: 1-2 years experience 
  • Intermediate understanding of medical terminology (surgical terminology a big plus)
  • Completion of accredited medical assisting program
  • Certified Phlebotomist 
  • Must be Bilingual – Fluent in Spanish & English
  • Must strictly adhere to HIPPA
  • Willing and able to be on your feet for 8 hours
  • Great customer service skills 
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with electronic medical records
 Benefits:
  • This position includes Medical and Dental insurance, eligible after 3 months of employment (employee only)
  • Practice will purchase two sets of scrubs for you to wear, with you needing to purchase one pair of black scrubs
  • 401(k) profit sharing plan eligibility after 1 year
  • PTO beginning 2 months after start date: 10 days, then an additional 5 days after 1st year, 20 days after 2 years, and 25 days after 5 years

Hours: Mon & Fri 7:00-3:30, Tues-Thurs 9:00-5:30,
No Weekends
This is NOT a remote position

Job Type: Full-timeSalary: Starting $42,000 annually, dependent on experience
