SHOPCO USA is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic, customer centric, and team-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist  at our headquarters office in Houston, TX.  Previous experience in Consumer Package Goods Sales or Manufacturing/Construction Sales to the Convenience Store Industry is a plus Experience managing, training, and coaching an accounting team a must

We are searching for a motivated Accountant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. This position will assist the Accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.

To be a successful with SHOPCO USA, you should have a good understanding of basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel. Experience with FACTS; Sage Intacct, or Peoplesoft preferred. You should be trustworthy, efficient, and organized.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing support to the Accounting Manager as needed with AR.
  • Processing transactions, updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
  • Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.

Accountant Requirements:
  • Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills.
  • Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with Reconciliations is a plus.
  • Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently.
