Human Resource Dimensions has been engaged to place a Human Resources Director for a growing client in Savannah, Georgia with multiple locations across the Southern US.  We seek an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, safety, training, and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the timely and successful hiring of qualified candidates.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and grievance procedures.
  • Administer employee safety and benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans (both ESOP and 401k), and wellness initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, staying up to date on any changes or updates.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in HR management, business administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations (DOT, OSHA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and selection, including interviewing and talent assessment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
