Ballroom Dancing Instructor 

Bronx, NY

Bronx House is seeking part-time Ballroom Dancing Instructor on Friday evenings at our School for Performing Arts. The Ballroom Dancing Instructor is responsible for group instruction for adults in waltz, fox trot, tango, quick step and other social dances. The Ballroom Dance Instructor works within the guidelines, policies and mission of Bronx House and reports to the Performing Arts Director. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

●     Assist in ensuring the highest value of dance instruction and programming is provided to Bronx House members and its participants.●     Assist and participate in strategic recruitment and programming events.●     Lead small group instruction.●     Assist with tracking student attendance and development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

●     Several years experience as a dance instructor.●     Must be able to teach group classes to adults.●     Must have experience within an education or community-based setting.●     Possess the interpersonal skills to engage individuals and families from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.●     Must possess a strong commitment to collaboration and effective teamwork within the organization. PAY RATESalary $35/hr for group lessons.
