CMM Programmer

Garden Grove, United States RBC Bearings Incorporated Full time $20 - $30

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine programmer (CMM), with open set up and surface plate measurement skills, programming experience and high level conditional programming back ground.
  • Inspection of close tolerance Aerospace parts in a short run production based environment, developing CMM programs solid models, B/P's and operation sheets.
  • Ability to work with operators, engineering and varying and changing shop schedules.
Responsibilities:

  • Expert knowledge and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. (GD&T)
  • Experience inspecting spur gears, splines, spline rings to ensure conformance with gear and spline data.
  • Familiarity with Zeiss CMM 
  • Expertise and in-depth knowledge of CMM programming using Calypso 
  • Experience with probe calibration required.  
  • Ability to provide innovative CMM programs from solid CAD models
  • Provide hands-on CMM program development support.
  • Utilization of latest software capabilities and best practices
  • Provide programming support for process development on new product introduction
  • Support cost reduction through improved part processing time using efficient CMM methods and innovative mistake proofing techniques
  • Provide tooling recommendations to optimize programs and CMM capabilities
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise to maximize the utilization of CMMs in production environments
Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of CMM usage Calypso programming or equivalent job experience on aerospace parts, spur gears, and splines
