Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist

Enlist as a Soldier into the United States Army and as a Veterinary Food Specialist (68R), you’ll oversee food safety, quality assurance, and protection from unintentional or intentional contamination of food, not that animals will consume, but the food that you and your fellow Soldiers will eat. You’ll also be responsible for supervising food inspection and combined veterinary service activities. You’ll be at the forefront of food safety and defense, using statistical sampling methods to make sure food is being inspected for freshness, proper storage and delivery, and ensure that all food items are packaged according to the Department of Defense standards. This is not a civilian contractor position.  No experience necessary. Position is entry level.   REQUIREMENTS:  
  • A U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card.  
  • 17 to 34 Years Old.
  • High School Diploma or GED.  
  • Meet Tattoo Guidelines.  
  • No Major Law Violations.  
  • No Medical Concerns.  

TESTING & CERTIFICATIONS:  
  • 5 Nationally Recognized Certifications Available. 
  • 10 weeks of Basic Training. 
  • 8 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. 
  • 95 ASVAB Score: Skilled Technical. (ST)

  • Food Safety.
