Patient Transporter

- Safely transport patients within the hospital, ensuring comfort and addressing their needs.
- Help patients in and out of beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during transport.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques.
- Coordinate with patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding transport needs.
- Maintain accurate transport records.
- Ensure transport equipment is clean and functional.
- Be ready to act in emergencies and provide first aid if needed.
- Follow hospital policies, including infection control and confidentiality.
- Work with healthcare professionals for timely and efficient patient transport.
- Ensure compliance with CA DPH regulations and maintain licensures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months experience of patient transporting, preferably in hospital setting
- Medical assistant and/or Certified Nurse Assistant experience, preferred
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers.
- Must have Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months
- Current Annual Health Clearance
