Position Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of shade and shelter fabrication projects, managing multiple projects at a time. This role involves coordinating design, construction, and installation teams, providing accurate quotes and estimates, and ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the construction or design fabrication industry and possess excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Team Coordination: Oversee cross-functional teams, including designers, fabricators, contractors, and vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Budget Management: Prepare detailed quotes and estimates, monitor project costs, and ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
  • Timeline Management: Track project progress against milestones and deadlines, adjusting plans as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project delivery, working to minimize delays and cost overruns.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of commercial project management experience and training, with a proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

  • Technical Skills: Confidence in understanding construction documents and specialized construction details.

  • Certifications: Project management certifications and degrees are a plus.
