Urology RN, Registered Nurse Schedule and Timeline:
  • Monday - Friday 
  • No holidays or weekends
  • 8-hour day shift
  • 40 hours per week

 Urology RN / Registered Nurse Details:
  • Assist the physician in performing cystoscopies, biopsies dilatations, and minor urologic procedures. 
  • Responsible for performing catheterization using a sterile technique, giving catheter care, and bladder irrigation. 
  • Performs cystometrogram (CMG) and follow-up under the indirect supervision of the physician. 
  • Performs flow studies and bladder scans for residual urine testing. 
  • Other responsibilities include ultrasound setup for prostate biopsies, the performance of voiding trials, and recording results. 
  • Performs independent patient health education for patients requiring self-catheterization in the home. 
  • Oversees the cleaning, sterilization, maintenance, and replacement of all urology instruments and equipment.
  • Responsible for nursing care for patients in the urology clinic as directed by medical providers. 
  • Responsible for patient flow and assisting providers as necessary with examination.
 Urology RN / Registered Nurse Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of RN / Nursing experience.
  • Urology experience required 
  • Experience with vasectomies, cystoscopies, or pelvic floor therapy is a plus, but not required.
  • ND or multistate RN license in good standing.
