Shift Available: Full-Time (40 hours/week) M-F
Clinic Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
General Overview:
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are essential to the role. Failure to perform these duties, with or without accommodation, may lead to disqualification from the position.
- Utilizes a standardized data collection tool to gather the patient's medical history through interviews.
- Records vital signs and a brief overview of the primary complaint.
- Collaborates with patients and their families to create a prioritized list of patient issues and assists in formulating a care plan.
- Maintains continuous monitoring and assessment of assigned patients.
- Facilitates patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Administers prescribed medications.
- Conducts treatments and procedures as directed by the physician.
- Documents and executes physician and nursing orders.
- Takes necessary emergency actions as required.
- Communicates symptoms and significant changes in the patient's condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensures that the educational needs of the patient and family are addressed.
- Assesses the response of the patient and family to care and makes necessary adjustments.
- Utilizes available information to evaluate progress toward care goals.
- Performs duties specific to the assigned unit.
General Duties:
- Completes other assigned tasks as needed.
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a Board Approved Program is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of relevant nursing experience.
Licenses/Certifications Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possesses relevant nursing skills and knowledge. Ability to resolve issues and implement solutions effectively. Works well in a collaborative team environment to ensure high-quality patient care. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills and typing ability. Capable of functioning effectively in high-pressure situations.
