Activation Sales Representative

The Activation Sales Representative (ASR) is responsible for initiating new buying accounts through outbound cold calling and prospecting. The ASR develops strategic marketing call campaigns from information obtained by Sales Management, Account Managers, and Business Development Specialist, with the intent to create new and meaningful business sales relationships with the company's state, local, and education (SLED) customers. The ASR assesses customer needs and provides viable technology options through needs assessments and utilization of internal and external resources. The ASR qualifies leads and ensures the delivery of the activated account to the appropriate next point of contact in the sales group. The ASR ensures activation account growth in line with individual and company sales goals and established position metrics.
 
Technology:
  • Basic computer knowledge with the ability to operate a keyboard for data entry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet.

 Business:
  • Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to listen to and anticipate the needs of the customer

 Additional preferred competencies or preferred qualifications, if any:
  • Adept at proactively finding business opportunities within the existing customer base
  • Negotiation skills with the ability to secure the best purchasing agreement for customers and the company
  • 1+ year of previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred
