Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement leadership development programs that address the needs of TDH leaders at all levels.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with leadership teams across the department.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and create training programs aligned with TDH's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals.
  • Design and deliver engaging training content using various formats, including in-person workshops, virtual learning, and on-demand resources.
  • Manage and facilitate Communities of Practice to foster peer learning and support.
  • Incorporate adult learning techniques to enhance knowledge growth, skill development, and behavior change.
  • Evaluate training programs to measure impact and support continuous improvement.
  • Provide input on the return on investment (ROI) for training programs.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Expertise in evaluating training needs and collaborating with stakeholders to design and improve training content.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage groups and present effectively.
  • Proficient in creating training content for various formats (virtual, in-person, interactive).
  • Knowledgeable about diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies, particularly those addressing health disparities.
  • Skilled in conducting competency-based skills analysis and providing coaching.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Tennessee.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; a Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in leadership development, training design, group facilitation, and training evaluation.
  • Experience in community engagement, working with culturally diverse populations, and volunteer management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant applications.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must reside in East or West Tennessee.
