Seeking a highly motivated, hardworking and energetic individual with an eye for detail that takes initiative and welcomes responsibility. The successful candidate is responsible for all phases of cleaning and maintenance of the facilities interior, exterior and grounds as directed. These duties will include but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning and sanitation, cleaning of fixtures and furniture, window cleaning, interior and exterior trash removal, and additional tasks as necessary to ensure all facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness and readiness.
Below is a more detailed description of this work:

Facility Maintenance:
  • Performs and oversees opening and closing procedures as assigned by the Facility Manager: Lights, Temperatures, Doors, Locks and security systems
  • Maintains the cleanliness of machines and equipment (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting and polishing)
  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of common workspaces which include offices, staircases, pathways as well as the surrounding space outside of the building. (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting)
  • Maintains and replenishes common area supply levels daily: Trash bags, soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies.
  • Safely and efficiently consolidates all trash and offcuts in the disposal area

Facility Operations:
  • Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
  • Support the Safety Officer by regularly inspecting and replenishing all PPE stations
  • Performs tasks in the Facility queue on Asana in a timely manner
  • Provides support to the Logistics and Production teams as needed

Systems and Safety:
  • Records and communicates status updates and task completions consistently with theFacility Manager
  • Assists in occasional Facility audits for safety and maintenance issues.
  • Understands Bednark’s production process and contributes to every projects’ success
  • Reports any observed safety violations to the Safety Officer
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment in all workspaces
  • Regularly inspects all shop spaces, workspaces, access paths, and egress routes for clear and safe use
  • Regularly reviews inventory and department set-up to consolidate and improve the workflow to maximize productivity and safety
  • Maintains a safe, healthy, and judgment-free working environment
