Our Breaker Line Packers are responsible for breaking other Line Packers.

Purpose:
The Breaker Line Packer is responsible for providing breaks for the other Line Packers and will be responsible for packaging of product into the various types of containers to be distributed to our customers that are not only safe to eat but meet all customer and internal specifications. The incumbent should understand how all production line packing processes operate and is able to move to all locations on the post-bake side and be effective and productive in the Line Packer function. The incumbent may be assigned to seal-out duties on the line.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete training on assigned processes and procedures in your role by following the direction of your trainer.
  • Attend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetings.
  • Participation and adherence to all food safety and safety programs.
  • Completion of assigned Alchemy courses that are required throughout the year.
  • Ensure that all product is packaged in the correct packaging.
  • Ensure that all packaging information is correct.
  • Ensure that all utensils, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
  • Monitor automated equipment to verify it is functioning properly and if there is an issue, report any issues to your leader.
  • Effectively communicate all relevant information to other production shifts and employees.
  • Immediately report any and all food safety and quality problems to Management.
  • Ensure the area is prepared and cleaned for the next shift.

 Skills/Work Experience Needed:
  • Must be able to understand and follow directions and pass all Food Safety and Safety courses in the English language. (Required)
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. (Required)
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers with decimals. 
  • Read and follow work instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers. 
  • Work independently with self-management.

Work Environment:
  • Production areas can vary in temperature either cool or warm depending on the season and possibly humid in the summer months.
  • Concrete floors are slippery, especially when wet.
  • Intact senses of sight, with corrective lenses, are necessary.
  • Hearing and vision are required in order to be able to hear and read documents pertaining to the job.
