Corporation and Foundation Relations Manager

The Corporate & Foundation Relations Manager plays a critical role in the organization’s fundraising efforts by developing and executing strategies to secure funding from corporate and foundation partners. This individual is responsible for identifying prospects, crafting compelling proposals, and fostering relationships to build long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Execution• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to secure sponsorships and gifts from corporate, business and foundation donors.• Research and identify prospective corporate and foundation partners, aligning their interests with organizational programs and initiatives.• Collaborate with senior leadership and program staff to understand funding needs and develop compelling cases for support.
Proposal Writing• Prepare and submit sponsorship requests and funding applications in alignment with organizational priorities and goals.• Work closely with program and finance teams to gather necessary information for proposals and ensure compliance with funder requirements.• Manage all aspects of proposal submissions, including drafting letters of inquiry, budget creation, and reporting.
Relationship Management and Stewardship• Cultivate and manage relationships with a portfolio of corporate and foundation funders through regular communication, site visits, and events.• Develop tailored stewardship plans, recognizing donors’ contributions and demonstrating the impact of their support.• Coordinate site visits, special events, and donor meetings to strengthen partnerships and showcase organizational achievements.
Donor Reporting and Compliance• Oversee reporting requirements, ensuring timely submission of reports and updates to funders.• Maintain accurate records of donor communications, proposals, and reporting in the organization’s CRM system.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support• Work with the development and marketing team to develop materials that highlight partnerships and acknowledge donors publicly.• Engage program and finance staff to develop project proposals aligned with funder priorities.• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of corporate and foundation fundraising efforts.
Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree • 5+ years of experience in corporate and foundation fundraising, grant writing, or a related area.• Strong proposal writing, storytelling, and budgeting skills.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage and steward funders.• Familiarity with CRM software and database management for tracking donor information.• Knowledge of the corporate and foundation funding landscape, especially within the organization’s sector.

Work EnvironmentThis position may require occasional evening or weekend hours for special events and donor meetings. Hybrid work schedule.
