PLC Programing and Integration Support will have a cross-functional role with in the Engineering Team supporting Service teams.
The Programming and Integration Support will work in close contact with our Mechanical and Electrical design Engineers around the globe. The programming language is executed primarily in ST (Structured Text), and the HMI Programming/development is done in HTML5.
Position Responsibilities:
PLC-Programming Support in Cold Jet Customer Service:
  • PLC-P.
  • Update and maintain programs for high-quality machine electrical controls and IoT connected systems on Cold Jet’s Dry Ice Manufacturing System (DIMS) product program.
  • Work with cross-functional project teams and manage/represent a part of the programming function for new and existing DIMS products.
  • Create and maintain version control of existing and new PLC programs in Cold Jet Cloud Engineering platform.
  • In collaboration with Electrical Engineering, develop and analyze new programming features within ST (Structured Text).
  • Update and create new Safety PLC’s for standalone-, and complete systems.
  • Develop customer strategy for upgrading current Twin CAT2 customers to Twin CAT 3 and implement solutions.

PLC-Programming Support in Cold Jet Customer Service:
  • Provide support to our global customer service in electrical/controls diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Update, develop and maintain PLC-Programs for high-quality Line-Controls on complete Engineered systems for ES and IBS.
  • Contribute with programming support during site commissioning of ES and IBS projects.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Automation/Integration Programming Support for Cold Jet Customer Service"
  • Understand Cold Jet’s onboard proprietary firmware controls using Ethernet, Ether Cat, Profinet and Modbus when communicating to our customers’ automated & integrated systems.
  • This role will support current and future installations needing these protocols. Typically, each installation will require some amount of customization for Cold Jet blasters to successfully communicate to our customer’s equipment and unique needs.
  • Customer facing interaction will be necessary to troubleshoot and solve these connection issues.

Skill Competencies:
  • Knowledge of embedded PLC programming in Structured Text, and HMI development in HTML5.
  • Solid skills and experience in troubleshooting PLC/HMI programming system.
  • Identify PLC Symptoms, ability to review programs, trace ladder logic & verify causes.
  • Familiar with electrical wiring diagrams and electrical schematics/circuits.
  • Provide a methodical means of troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Update, develop and maintain PLC-Programs for high-quality Line-Controls on complete Engineered systems for ES and IBS.
  • Contribute with programming support during site commissioning of ES and IBS projects.
  • Knowledge Beckhoff Twin CAT (The Windows Control and Automation Technology) suite of automation tools and components for use in industrial control systems.

Position Requirements:
Education & Experience:
  • BS in computer science, or applicable degree.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial machine programming and development.
