Human Resources Assistant

- POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Assistant.
- Location: Laredo, TX
- Hire Pay: $17.10hr.
Classification:
- Full time.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Assists with staffing and pre-hire activities, including coordinating the background screening process.
- Ability to execute and support HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Leadership and training abilities.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Composure and confidentiality on disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Maintains reports and responds to internal and external requests for information.
- Administrative duties including maintaining employee records, EEO data, etc.
- Compliance with all policies and legal requirements.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by HR Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working understanding of human resource principals, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and function well in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel Spreadsheets, Dropbox.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
- Receives supervision from the Human Resources Director. Position has formal assigned supervisory responsibility and authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor office environment.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
- This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Business Administration or two years’ experience in related field.
Other:
- Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
