The Just 4 Pets Wellness Center team is looking for a dynamic Veterinary Assistant to join our team If you have a passion for helping animals and their owners as well as a superb work ethic and a desire to learn, we'd love to talk with you 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, and record vital signs
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
  • Perform dental cleanings and assist with other procedures as needed
  • Clean and maintain the hospital and medical equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients
  • Some administrative duties, such as answering phones, client and patient registration, and making appointments
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
  • Knowledge of basic animal care, nutrition, and behavior
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • This position can be highly physical so the ability to lift, stoop, bend and carry up to 50 pounds is a must.
