Mambo has 12 restaurants in the Greater Houston area, one location in San Antonio, and one franchised operation in the Rio Grande Valley. Mambo Seafood is poised for rapid growth Summary:Our restaurant group is seeking a Restaurant Field Trainer (RFT) to be primarily responsible for administering training, development, and educational programs specific to the bar program to ensure consistent execution in all Mambo Restaurants. In addition to delivering ongoing training to current servers and front of the house staff, this Seafood individual will support restaurant opening by certifying new employees and getting them ready for their new 
job. This role is also involved in developing supplemental training or informational materials, including employee instructional handouts. As a RFT, your job is to visit different restaurants as part of a program that teaches various soft skills. In most cases, these courses focus on teaching sales skills and leadership in private sessions with the staff of retail stores. You also spend time promoting business initiatives, developing new courses, and collaborating with product designers to produce instruction manuals. You need to communicate to the team and trainees about what is expected and to help the team develop competency and 
skill set in order to perform efficiently in the workplace. This position requires good judgment, the ability to work independently, and an open mind.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists in implementation of the bar program in all legacy locations.
  • Leads new locations training execution and support restaurant opening.
  • Conducts training to employees at the restaurant or in a classroom environment.
  • Visits restaurants to train employees on new marketing initiatives or systems.
  • Develops or update supplemental materials, such as employee handbooks.
  • Works with on-site managers to uphold business standards across all locations.
  • Performs employees’ evaluation regarding their skillset, identifying training needs.
  • Supports the marketing calendar implementation by preparing the restaurant teams to perform as
  • expected regarding new items launch, LTOs, etc.
  • Supports restaurants that show poor customer service levels by training the restaurant team on how to
  • evolve service level.
  • Assists in beverage program development and cost control systems.

QualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Bilingual communication mandatory (English/Spanish).
  • 2+ years as a bartender in the restaurant industry.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and MVR check.
  • Must have valid driver’s license

LANGUAGE/MATH/REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
  • and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or company employees.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Stands and walks on uneven, slippery and/or wet surface for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Speaks and listens in-person to staff and customers for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Speaks through radio and listens through earpiece for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Clearly observes customer service in the dining room from up to 100 feet.
  • Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes and pulls up to 25 pounds, and reaches overhead.
  • Performs moderately strenuous activity for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Tolerates temperature changes from hot to cold and cold to hot.
  • Performs other physical requirements necessary to perform duties and responsibilities.

Working Environment:
  • Moderate noise, fast pace and high customer traffic.
  • Ability to tolerate the smell of cleaning solutions on a regular basis
