Word of Faith Christian Academy Teachers create lesson plans and teach those plans. We use the ABEKA curriculum. Our teachers work individually with students or in small groups in multigrade classes. We track student progress, and present information to parents in parent conferences, written progress reports, and report cards. Teachers ensure that students learn in a safe Christian environment; they also create tests, create and reinforce classroom rules, work with school administration and parents to prepare students for standardized tests and manage students outside the classroom, such as in school hallways, playground, field trips, special functions, critical thinking exercises, etc.

Requirements:
  • Devise lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines where appropriate.
  • Lead classes by giving lectures, demonstrating tasks, assigning tasks, and encouraging discussions.
  • Encourage student participation and performance.
