The right candidate for this job is someone who wants to first learn, and then help support the overall mission of Huntington Learning Center.
Expectations:
- Supervise instruction; ensure effectiveness, accuracy, thoroughness, and competency of all instruction.
- Monitor, program, and reprogram student instructional programs.
- Maintain Student files, records, and program plans. Review each student's instructional program at least once per month.
- Create and maintain student and teacher schedules. Anticipate teacher needs. Monitor teacher payroll
costs by optimizing student-teacher ratios. - Conduct Parent and Student Interim Conferences as needed.
- Prepare for, conduct, and follow up after professional merchant visit contacts, and event-focused/student-focused school visits.
- Train, manage, motivate, and evaluate part-time teachers.
- Conduct monthly teacher meetings.
- Conduct initial inquiries from interested families.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Management or Education preferred)
- Tutor students - this role must understand how our system works before leading others. The first 30-45 days will be focused mostly on instructional excellence and learning our systems and programs.
Ideal Candidate has:
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail - Ability to "figure it out"
- A sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of students and their families
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation as minimal travel is required
