About the JobBright Light Academy is seeking an experienced Assistant Group Supervisor to join our to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will have at least two full years of childcare, camp or educational experience and preferably with children UNDER the age of four (4), have a background in education, early childhood development, or psychology.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist lead teacher with planning and implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
  • Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for children.
  • Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
  • Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.

Required Qualification:
  • 2500 hours (two years) of experience.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs., see, hear & sit on the floor with children.
  • Must be able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
  • To be 18 years or older and legally able to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A CDA or 15 college credits in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is a plus.

This is a full-time position. For candidates with minimal experience, pay starts at $15.50. For candidates with a non- related degree and multiple years of experience, starting pay may be up to $17.50 per hour (based on education & experience), with an increase after completing your first 90 days. Bright Light Academy is open five days a week, but staff work a four-day work week. Staff benefits include PTO, sick pay, reduced child care & more.
