Assistant Group Supervisor, Toddlers' Class

Bright Light Academy is seeking an experienced toddler teacher/assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two full years of experience working with children. Our toddler program is designed to engage & stimulate learning & development while also providing a fun, learning through play environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work cooperatively with the lead teacher to implement the center's curriculum & create an immersive experience.
  • Help create a safe & stimulating environment for children.
  • Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals & other daily routines.
  • Provide individual & group support to children as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development & progress.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of child development & age-appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must be patient, nurturing & able to create a positive learning environment.

Skills Required:
  • 2 years of experience in early childcare, childcare, education, or related experience.
  • Must be able to lift to 40lbs., see, hear & sit on the floor with children.
  • To pass state and federal & child abuse background checks.
  • To be 18 years or older & legally able to work in the United States.

This is a FULL-TIME position. Starting rates for an Assistant Group Supervisor range from $16.00 - $17.50 per hour (based on level of experience & education) Bright Light Academy is open five days a week, but staff work a FOUR-DAY WORK WEEK.
