Requirements:
- Associate degree from an AOTA-accredited program.
- Minimum one year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Certification.
- Valid Texas COTA license.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing IEPs and ensuring knowledgeable implementation of assessment tools.
- Identifying students with the presence of fine motor deficits, dysregulation, sensory issues, and/or behavioral deficit.
- Determining eligibility for services according to the school's policies and procedures, TEA, and licensing boards.
- Providing top-quality direct or indirect IEP services.
- Maintaining and monitoring paper and digital tracking logs, ARD logs, and Evaluation logs on a daily basis.
- Partnering with OT and/or special education teacher in IEP development or developing IEPs aligned with the curriculum.
- Assisting special education teacher in progress report completion.
- Completing initial (re)evaluations prior to the deadline, IEPs, and progress reports in Frontline.
