Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a COTA, you will work closely with our clients to provide purposeful and educational-based occupational therapy services to students in Texas schools.

Responsibilities
  • Review and Implement IEPs: Review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure knowledgeable implementation of assessment tools to provide top-quality services.
  • Identify Student Needs: Identify students with fine motor deficits, dysregulation, sensory issues, and/or behavioral deficits, and determine eligibility for services according to school policies and procedures.
  • Provide Direct and Indirect Services: Provide direct or indirect IEP services, including progress report completion and initial (re)evaluations prior to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with OT and Special Education Teacher: Partner with occupational therapists and special education teachers to develop and implement IEPs aligned with curriculum goals.
  • Track Progress and Maintain Logs: Maintain and monitor paper and digital tracking logs, ARD logs, and Evaluation logs on a daily basis.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree from AOTA-Accredited Program: Hold an associate degree from an accredited program by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • Minimum One Year Experience as COTA: Have a minimum of one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
  • National Board Certification: Hold National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Certification.
  • Valid Texas COTA License: Possess a valid Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
