Outside Sales Engineer

We are looking for an Outside Sales Engineer located in New Jersey with a technical background in engineering or sales, with at least 1-year experience with at least one year of sales experience--to make a positive connection with our customers. Someone outgoing, likable, comfortable on the phone, and most importantly, a solution provider
Training:The Outside Sales Engineer will learn about our products while accessing thousands of hot leads from our vast database. We also participate in multiple trade shows annually and have extensive print media advertising circulation. With our elite machinery and reputation, sales leads come to us
Outside Sales Representatives are typically responsible for the following:
- Answering customer calls and offering assistance
- Recommending products or merchandise to help customers
- Informing customers about sales, promotions, and policies
- Following up on trade show leads for the Sales team.
- Maintains and updates records in our CRM database (ACT)
- Provides pricing and lead time for equipment and consumables
- Establishing and maintaining customer relationships
Requirements:
- Must be located in New Jersey
- Technical Degree
- Mechanically inclined
- Extremely comfortable on the phone with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer data entry skills
- Excellent Customer service and people skills
- Critical thinking
- Selling skills
- Organizational skills
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in Windows-based programs
- Cold calling is mandatory
- Ability to "think outside the box" to develop customer service requirements and implement total solutions
- Knowledge in Quickbooks is a plus
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- Technical degree in engineering is preferred
- 1-3 years experience in sales
- On-the-job training provided
