Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead our maintenance department and elevate it to professional service standards. The Head Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing all maintenance operations, collaborating with vendors, managing resources effectively, and ensuring that our properties are maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the maintenance team to efficiently execute repair and maintenance tasks across our property portfolio.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance department.
  • Work closely with vendors to negotiate contracts, oversee services, and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that the team has everything necessary to perform their duties effectively.
  • Train and mentor future maintenance staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Monitor and adhere to budgetary constraints while maximizing the value of maintenance services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure seamless operations.
  • Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a property management or similar industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
  • Proficiency in identifying maintenance needs and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to property maintenance and safety.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed.
