PeopleShare is seeking Mailroom and Office Services Specialist to perform a range of operational and support functions in mail handling, document imaging, and high-volume duplicating. This role supports internal office services and maintains quality standards for mail distribution, equipment handling, and client service, with attention to timely deliveries and technical troubleshooting.
Job Title: Mailroom and Office Services Specialist
Pay Rate: $18.37 - $19.86 per hour
Location: New Britain, CT 06053
Duration: Temp to Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Document Management: Operate high-volume copy and document imaging systems, use document imaging software, and generate digital reports.
  • Mail and Shipping Services: Handle shipping/receiving, sort/distribute mail, handle postage, and assist with high-volume mail management systems.
  • Customer Support: Maintain customer site equipment, including copier maintenance and troubleshooting; provide receptionist and file services as needed.
  • Office Services: Distribute office supplies, maintain copier areas, assist with meeting and conference room setups, and perform light maintenance duties.
  • Administrative Support: Manage records, maintain logs for billing, calculate job charges, and handle client requests.
  • Additional Duties: May include handling re-lamping, light maintenance, and assisting with building occupant moves. Occasional overtime may be required on nights and weekends.
Qualifications:
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years in a related field. Previous mail or office support experience is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong customer service and organizational skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Teams
    • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Competence with various office machines, including high-volume copy and fax machines
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Office Environment: Typically in an office setting with moderate physical effort, including standing, bending, and moving items up to 50-55 lbs.
  • Technical Dexterity: Use of calculators, hand tools, and technical equipment.
  • Mobility: Ability to walk between buildings as needed.
