Govig – Your #1 full-service recruiting firm, your access to the best opportunities available, is seeking a SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, SALES & MARKETING for a residential real estate company based in Phoenix, AZ.
About the position. The SVP, Sales & Marketing oversees the company’s promotion and advertising efforts to drive sales and build brand awareness, while also defining and executing the sales strategy across the country. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the internal sales team, defining and leading the sales strategy to determine where the overall business need is and where to focus resources.
- Collaborates with the Division Vice Presidents, Regional Managers, and corresponding senior leadership to increase sales opportunities and positively impact market share through customer interaction, data analysis, and extensive “in the field” presence for the sales staff.
- Partners with human resources to create, maintain, and deliver appropriate commission plans to support business goals as well as support a competitive hiring strategy.
- Works with internal teams and external parties to implement process improvements that drive increased revenue, reduce costs, promote efficiencies, and promote the overall performance of the asset(s).
- Determine sales promotions and employee SPIFFs / contests to drive results.
- Establish and maintain all sales reports for each location including but not limited to: New and return traffic, sales, lead generation, appointments, home closings, etc.
- Establish protocols and maintain the use of sales CRM by the sales team.
- Establish the marketing budget and strategy for the launch and maintenance of each location.
- Develop the branding, advertising for each location, making sure to align with the overall corporate brand and to drive sales traffic to meet sales goals.
- Plan and execute grand openings and other events as needed.
- Handle public relations and community outreach initiatives.
- Conduct market research to ensure a strong understanding of our customers, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Study Google Analytics and other digital reporting to ensure that the division’s web presence is optimized.
- Review Google review results to keep a pulse on customer experience.
- Press release writing and distribution, media relations.
What you need. To effectively thrive in this organization, the SVP, Sales & Marketing will have:
- A college degree (B.A. or equivalent), or equivalent related, professional work experience is required.
- 8+ years of thorough, extensive knowledge and experience on how to manage a successful sales team is strongly preferred, including leading and developing other leaders.
- 5+ years of experience leading the entire Sales function required.
- 5+ years of related experience and/or training in the residential real estate industry
- Experience leading and developing teams, including developing other leaders, highly preferred.
- A superior, demonstrated track record of positive results related to Team Management, Competitive Analysis, Training, Strategic Planning, and Overall Operations.
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as applications related to the specific position.
- Excellent, demonstrated leadership skills with an understanding of key metrics that drives a successful Sales Team.
- Must have strong written and verbal professional and effective communication skills.
