About the Position

The Procurement Specialist/Buyer will be mainly responsible for the procurement and acquisition of final goods while ensuring the company plan at optimal cost, quality, and delivery. The ideal candidates should not only have expertise in market analysis and negotiation to secure the best deals; but also have excellent communication skills to maintain robust vendor relationships. This role empowers you to shape procurement strategies, optimize our supply chain, and be a driving force in achieving our business goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on suppliers of goods, then request for quotes, proposals, purchase terms and conditions, etc.
  • Source products and follow approval for supplier, pricing, and purchase order.
  • Track and analyze monthly supply chain metrics and/or data.
  • Develop positive relationships with vendors, driving to continuous-improvement goals of optimal cost, quality, service, availability, and delivery.
  • Arrange and manage visits/meetings with vendors including setting agendas, providing reports, and doing follow-ups.
  • Manage and develop strong vendor relations through regular and consistent communication to ensure a clear understanding of short/long-term goals and capabilities.
  • Stay up to date on developments in supply chain and purchasing management technologies and techniques.
  • Proactively coordinate with office and warehouse team members to monitor inventory and evaluate appropriate safety stock levels.


Qualifications

  • Experience in market research, optimizing procurement strategies, forecasting future needs, and making informed decisions to drive our operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams, stakeholders, and external suppliers effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite
  • Supply Chain Management and/or Planning Experiences
  • Bilingual in Chinese (preferred but not required)


Job Type: Full-Time Onsite in NYC

Office Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 hours/day

Salary: Starting at $50K + commission and bonuses (all salary and packages are subjected to negotiation based on professional experience level and skill sets).
