As a member of the Product Counseling team, you’ll partner with innovative product teams around the world to ensure we can achieve our business strategy and deliver amazing customer benefits while ensuring we stay compliant.

As a core legal partner for Intuit’s Consumer Group, which includes Intuit’s TurboTax and Credit Karma products, you’ll lead strategically across multiple teams to grow our cross-platform products and connect customers to new benefits across the Intuit platform. You’ll advise and counsel on a wide variety of matters, including consumer protection, AI/ML, financial services, data privacy and data protection, mobile, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is passionate and tech-savvy, with a solid understanding of product compliance as well as fintech, AI, and innovation generally.

Responsibilities
  • As a core legal partner and product counsel to Intuit’s Consumer Group, you’ll be challenged to apply your legal expertise across a number of areas, partnering closely with product management, engineering, content design, marketing, security, compliance and operations teams, and more.
  • You’ll lead day-to-day product and business counseling for key cross-product experiences connecting TurboTax to other Intuit offerings. You’ll advise on a variety of cutting edge matters, including AI/ML, data privacy, advertising and marketing, IP, and regulatory compliance.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience primarily advising technology companies, either at a law firm or in-house
  • Significant breadth of knowledge in as many of the following areas as possible: consumer protection, AI/ML, advertising and marketing laws, data privacy and protection, and competition law
  • Demonstrated experience leading across teams or business functions
  • Comfort navigating uncharted areas and balancing risk and opportunity
  • Ability to think creatively and enable smart decision-making
  • Ability to communicate effectively and counsel business partners about regulatory obligations and risk management
  • Ability to produce clear and succinct legal analysis
  • Ability to interact with and lead change with senior executive leaders
  • Ability to effectively frame issues to drive strategic thinking and execution
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and training skills
  • Excellent driver and project manager
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to perform with minimal supervision
  • Experience providing legal support on a global scale
  • JD and membership in good standing with at least one US State Bar
