Responsibilities as a Payroll Specialist:

  • Process high volume payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and tax details.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to streamline payroll operations.
  • Prepare payroll reports and support audits as needed.

Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist:

  • Experience: 2-4 years in payroll processing or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Qualities: Detail-oriented, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities.
  • Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
