Our team is looking for someone who can drive the board design convergence and release schedules, lead complex hardware builds down to the details, and handle the resolution of technical build blockers by working with cross-functional teams.
Description: In this role, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of prototype builds. You will need to collaborate closely with architecture and engineering teams to define hardware definitions based on validation goals and support the overall project plan for builds globally. You will drive development timelines for new boards and flexes, lead the internal review process and release to vendors, and be the primary point of contact for our contract manufacturers and worldwide team members.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of project management or relevant experience
- Exceptional ability to build relationships, build cross-functional teams and exert effective influence in a matrix organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven track record in hardware engineering or operations program management with experience in effectively handling factory builds and working with vendors
- Experience interfacing with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams
- Excellent communication, presentation skills and the ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to handle complex build matrices and microschedules
- Proactive and highly self-motivated; good critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to operate well in an environment with rapid development cycles and constant change
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
