Vero Networks was founded in 2017 with a mission to build private fiber networks for school districts in rural areas that didn’t have equitable internet connectivity. Since 2017 we have grown to serve over 175 communities in 21 states. We have also expanded our customer base to include the largest consumers of internet connectivity as well as households and small to medium businesses in the communities we serve.

At Vero Networks, you will drive sales of fiber optic networks to school districts. You will achieve sales and revenue growth goals through account management activities as well as acquiring and on-boarding new customers. A demonstrated ability to succeed in an autonomous environment is key to this role. This role reports directly to the VP, E-Rate Vertical.

Job Summary

An E-Rate Account Director at Vero is responsible for developing advanced relationships with potential and existing school district customers. This position requires little direct supervision and has the discretion to engage in negotiations and solution development in support of the needs of our largest most complex accounts. The E-Rate Account Director will be responsible for increasing the net revenue in our E-Rate vertical.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with assigned accounts to understand their network needs, current network topology and concerns

  • Generate sales revenue by actively promoting Vero Networks products and services

  • Design solutions and present network proposals and expected performance capabilities for Vero solutions

  • Maintain current business relationships with customers, securing existing revenue on long term commitments

  • Build relationships with new customers

  • Maintain record of customer details, interactions and information Vero’s CRM tool and other reporting tools

  • Be a customer advocate within the Vero organization

  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and agreements with clients, ensuring mutual satisfaction.

  • Work closely with internal teams (such as product management and operations) to align strategies and deliver excellent service

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or similar role

  • Demonstrated success & consistency in achieving targeted sales goals

  • Highly organized with excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional customer service and relationship building / maintaining skills

  • Solid understanding of telecommunications and Information technology concepts and fundamentals.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, solve problems and escalate issues as needed

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced, team-based environment
