Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage a team of over 100 onsite data annotators for a high-profile search relevance project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large teams of professionals in data entry, data annotation, or similar fields, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to guidelines, and continuous training to meet project demands. While specific experience with search relevance grading is not required, prior experience with large-scale operational management and team coordination is highly preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of a team of 100+ onsite data annotators.
  • Ensure team performance aligns with client expectations and quality standards for search relevance annotation.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes to maximize efficiency and quality of work.
  • Coordinate with the client to understand evolving guidelines and ensure that the team remains up-to-date through regular training sessions.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure optimal team performance.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the team, upper management, and the client.
  • Proactively identify and address any challenges or issues that could affect project timelines or quality.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment to promote high morale and productivity.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback and guidance to team members for growth and development.

Position Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing large teams (50+ members), particularly in onsite settings.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear and effective interactions between the team, clients, and management.
  • Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges swiftly and effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and train the team to stay aligned with updated guidelines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and systems for tracking productivity and progress.
  • Must be able to work onsite to effectively manage the team and ongoing training requirements.

Desired Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations management, or a similar role, particularly within data-driven environments (data entry, data annotation, data labeling, etc.).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and/or Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Experience with using Mac OS
  • Prior experience managing teams of low to mid-level professionals in data annotation, labeling, or related fields.
  • Experience in handling large-scale projects with tight deadlines and high-quality standards.
  • Familiarity with productivity and performance management tools (e.g., Excel, project management software).
  • Previous experience working in search relevance or data annotation projects is a plus but not required.
