Job Description: Help Desk Support Technician

Location: Austin, TX 78752

Duration: 5 months

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Help Desk Support Technician. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills while providing essential IT support to end-users.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or chat.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and IT-related issues with clear, step-by-step guidance.
  • Escalate complex problems to senior support staff or appropriate departments.
  • Document all support interactions and solutions in the help desk ticketing system.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Assist with basic network and server troubleshooting.
  • Support the setup, operation, and maintenance of office equipment (e.g., printers, scanners).
  • Deliver basic IT training and guidance to users on software tools and systems.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while addressing user issues.
  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure problem resolution and user satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree or IT certifications are a plus).
  • Experience: 1+ year in help desk support or a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, software, and troubleshooting techniques.
