Position Summary:
InvestBev seeks a motivated and analytical Credit Officer to join our dynamic credit team. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating, monitoring, and managing credit exposure for companies in the adult beverage industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, a background in credit analysis or lending, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges in the CPG and adult beverage sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Evaluation & Underwriting: Analyze and assess the creditworthiness of existing and potential borrowers, with an emphasis on financial health, cash flow analysis, and market position. Prepare detailed credit reports and make recommendations to the credit committee based on rigorous analysis.
- Risk Management: Continuously monitor credit risks associated with portfolio companies, identifying early signs of financial distress and implementing strategies to minimize exposure. Work closely with the risk team to update and adjust credit parameters based on changing market conditions. • Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of credit accounts, ensuring timely review, risk assessment, and proactive engagement with clients. Develop strong relationships with portfolio companies to better understand their business cycles and liquidity needs.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Create and maintain robust financial models to support credit decisions, including stress testing and scenario analysis, with particular emphasis on factors affecting the adult beverage industry such as market shifts, economic impacts, and consumer trends.
- Industry Insights & Collaboration: Leverage industry knowledge to provide insights on current market trends, regulatory impacts, and competitive landscape changes. Collaborate with InvestBev’s equity, insurance, and advisory teams to provide holistic support to portfolio companies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or a related financial role, ideally with a focus on private credit or alternative assets.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and financial analysis, including the ability to analyze financial statements and create financial models.
- Familiarity with the adult beverage or CPG industry is a strong plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to make informed, data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex information clearly to senior management and stakeholders.
