Our client is looking to fill the role of Compounding Manager. This position will lead the compounding and batching teams for state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The Compounding Manager is considered to be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and responsible for managing the production of cosmetic batches, ensuring accurate formulation of raw materials, adherence to quality standards, and efficient workflow.


  • Salary: $120-$150k


Responsibilities:


  • Supports R&D, engineering, quality, compounding, production and maintenance with trial runs, new product start-ups, equipment validations, and SOP development and execution.
  • Oversee the management of compounding, sanitization, and chemical room operations, ensuring optimal use of personnel, materials, equipment, and time.
  • Develop and oversee the compounding department’s annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource optimization.
  • Ensure all compounding activities comply with GMP standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Maintain the integrity of the quality system, overseeing documentation, corrective actions, and deviation reporting.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Material Science, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in compounding, batching, and transfer in fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Emulsions - cosmetics, OTC, skincare, pharma, or similar product experience is required.
  • Proven leadership experience with a minimum of 4 years of team development and management experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required with specific emphasis in Word, Power Point and Excel.
