Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Services Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various aspects of financial planning, processing money movements, setting up client accounts, executing trades, and providing exceptional client support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial services operations, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering superior service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning Assistance:
- Assist financial advisors and clients with financial planning tasks, including data gathering, portfolio reviews, and implementation of strategies.
- Prepare and review financial documents, reports, and client presentations.
- Coordinate with clients to ensure timely completion of financial planning paperwork and applications.
- Money Movement Processing:
- Process and monitor all types of money movement activities, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and disbursements.
- Ensure that all transactions are accurate and comply with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Track and report any issues or discrepancies related to money movements.
- Account Setup:
- Assist with the setup of new client accounts, including gathering required documentation and completing account opening forms.
- Verify that all necessary client information is accurately entered into the system and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments as necessary to facilitate smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Trade Execution:
- Support the execution of client trades by entering orders into the system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor the status of trades and ensure proper settlement and reporting.
- Assist in resolving trade discrepancies or issues, collaborating with the trading team as needed.
- Client Support:
- Provide exceptional client service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering timely assistance via phone, email, and in person.
- Communicate with clients to provide updates on account status, transaction progress, and financial goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and promoting client retention.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of financial products, services, and investment strategies.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., CRM platforms, trading platforms, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Certifications:
- Series 6, Series 7, or other relevant licenses (preferred but not required).
- Other:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to client service and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards (e.g., FINRA, SEC).
