Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the President, the Business Manager oversees and directs the accounting, financial, auditing, reporting, and budgeting functions for the Fund. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining financial systems to ensure compliance and serves as a financial advisor to staff regarding fiscal aspects of the Fund.
Key Responsibilities:
Fiscal Oversight
- Direct the Fund's fiscal operations, covering program liabilities and preparation of all financial reports.
- Collaborate with the President and Fund coordinators on budgets, internal control, and other fiscal matters.
- Execute day-to-day accounting operations.
Budgeting and Reporting
- Assist in the development of budgets and grant applications, including preparing budget line item spreadsheets.
- Coordinate with the President and staff to prepare financial and activity reports, including reports for the Members, Board of Directors, and Board Committees.
Compliance and Audit
- Act as the primary liaison with funding sources and auditors to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain cash flow.
- Prepare and maintain all fiscal, budgetary, and monetary data needed for audits.
- Manage monthly bank reconciliations for all Fund bank accounts.
Record Maintenance
- Ensure the preparation and maintenance of accurate cash receipts and disbursement records.
- Prepare general journal entries and manage a posted general ledger.
- Maintain detailed and accurate budget records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Fund-EZ Experience required
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems, financial reporting, and internal control processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
