We are dedicated to providing accurate and reliable field surveys, biological assessments, and compliance monitoring to our clients.
Role Description
This is an On-Call on-site role for a Wildlife Biologist at Mountainview Biological Consulting, LLC. The Wildlife Biologist will be responsible for conducting field surveys, status species surveys, nesting bird surveys, biological site assessments, and general biological and botanical surveys. The role also includes compliance monitoring.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in wildlife, botany
- Background in wildlife biology and wildlife management
- Experience conducting field surveys and assessments
- Experience conducting nesting bird surveys
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience using Survey123, Excel, and Field Maps
- Strong time management skills
- Strong navigational skills
- The ability to walk up to 10 miles in a day on uneven terrain
- Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, or related field
- Experience with GIS is a plus
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include experience with endangered species surveys, wetland delineation certifications, and familiarity with local and federal regulations.
