MMR Strategy Group (MMR) is seeking a Senior Research Manager (SRM) for consumer survey research. The SRM will design surveys, analyze data, manage research projects, write reports, and lead client communications. Success in this position requires survey research expertise, keen attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will have a completed PhD, Master’s, or MBA, and will also have academic experience and/or professional work experience in survey research, consulting, or marketing.


MMR is located in Los Angeles, CA. Candidates must either live in the Los Angeles area or be willing to travel to Los Angeles for 3-5 days at least once per month.


Responsibilities include:

  • Design surveys and experiments.
  • Program survey questionnaires (Qualtrics experience preferred).
  • Analyze data using R, SPSS, Excel, or other statistical software.
  • Write reports and consult with clients regarding research implications for consumer behavior, marketing, and strategy.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed a PhD, Master’s, or MBA in marketing, business, sensory science, or a research-based social science, such as psychology, communications, or political science.
  • Must have academic experience and/or professional experience (outside of academia) in survey research, marketing, consumer psychology, and/or sensory science.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including experience using R, SPSS, Excel, or other statistical software.
  • Experience programming questionnaires in Qualtrics or other survey programming software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, including the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. MMR does not sponsor visas.
  • Live in the Los Angeles area or be willing to travel to Los Angeles at least once per month.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000, including base salary of $105,000 to $110,000 and target bonus of $5,000 to $10,000. Compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience and abilities. MMR also offers profit-sharing and pension plans, as well as a full benefits package.
