Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care within their scope of practice, which includes coordinating and participating in the activities of the Nursing Service Department to ensure safe and effective care for all hospital patients. The RN will also be responsible for nursing diagnosis, health teaching, and counseling, as well as administration, supervision, delegation, evaluation, and teaching of health and nursing practices.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct nursing assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to promote patient health and well-being
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of South Dakota or "multi-state privilege" to practice
  • Ability to work a 6pm-6:30am shift with 72 hours every 2 weeks, including every third weekend and holiday rotation
