Job Description:

We are seeking an individual to work with X-ray and CT techniques to assist in the development and failure analysis of consumer electronics. While a background in Industrial X- ray/CT and/or electronics is not required, experience working in a lab environment and an openness and ability to learning on the job is ideal. A significant portion of the role will involve determining best scan setup for a variety of samples as well as using own knowledge of electronics/materials and communication with other engineers to analyze the resulting data effectively. This person must work well in a team environment.

Scope

- Operate lab-based Nano- and micro-focus CT and 2D X-ray machines

- Collect, process, and analyze CT data

- Recommend next steps for Failure Analysis (if any) from CT data results - Effectively work with range of groups across Hardware Organization

Skills and Experience:

- Experience working in a lab

- Take a hands-on approach to problem solving

- Manage multiple projects at once

- Maintain a strong attention to detail

- Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills

- Collaborate effectively with team members across departments

- Familiarity with other Failure Analysis techniques such as Optical Microscopy, XRD, SEM, EDS, FIB, FTIR, GCMS etc.
