Head of Asset Management, Commercial Real Estate Private Equity / Private Credit

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Asset Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate assets. The ideal candidate will run the asset management function for our private credit portfolio, overseeing strategy, performance, and risk management of investments to maximize returns and minimize risks. This role requires a seasoned professional who can navigate the complexities of private credit markets, lead a team effectively, and drive portfolio performance while managing risk. The Head of Asset Management will play a crucial role in the company's success by optimizing asset performance.


Key Responsibilities:

·        Portfolio Management: Manage and oversee the performance of a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate assets, loans and private credit investments, ensuring alignment with investment strategies. Oversee the entire asset management process from acquisition to disposition.

·        Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including cash flow projections, performance benchmarking, and variance analysis to assess asset performance. Review and interpret complex financial models and reports.

·        Strategic Planning: Develop and implement asset-level business plans, including leasing strategies, capital improvements, and disposition strategies that align with company goals.

·        Market Research: Monitor market trends and economic conditions to identify opportunities and risks impacting portfolio assets. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in private credit asset management.

·        Reporting: Prepare and present regular performance reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and strategic initiatives. Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely reports for investors and regulatory bodies.

·        Collaboration: Work closely with the deal team, CFO, and CEO to drive overall portfolio performance and ensure successful execution of business plans. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including borrowers and co-investors.

·        Due Diligence: Participate in the due diligence process for new acquisitions, assessing potential risks and opportunities. Develop and implement risk management strategies.

·        Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and best practices related to asset management.

 

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification is preferred.

·        7+ years of experience in asset management, commercial real estate, or private equity.

·        Strong financial acumen with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

·        Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Argus, and other real estate analysis tools.

·        Knowledge of commercial real estate markets and trends.

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
