Key Responsibilities

The External Affairs Associate will support BPI's strategic programs and events, helping to establish BPI's physical presence in Washington, D.C. and expand our influence through high-impact events and partnerships.

  • Support execution of BPI's flagship Bitcoin Policy Summit
  • Organize small group dinners and invite-only roundtables with key stakeholders
  • Assist in planning co-branded events with think tanks, human rights groups, and tech organizations
  • Support coordination of BPI happy hours and networking events
  • Manage logistics for policy briefings and panel discussions
  • Maintain relationship database and track engagement metrics
  • Support strategic partnership development
  • Assist with donor and VIP event coordination

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in events, external affairs, or program management
  • Experience organizing policy-focused events in Washington, D.C.
  • Experience managing large (200+ person) events such as a summit (preferred)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills (required)
  • Proficiency with event management and CRM tools
  • Based in Washington, D.C. or willing to relocate (required)
