An experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent is needed to manage large-scale infrastructure construction projects in Houston, Texas. This role requires expertise in heavy civil construction, leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee on-site operations, ensuring compliance with project plans, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate schedules and resources with engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Develop and manage project plans, including budgets and timelines.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and address issues promptly.
- Lead construction teams, fostering accountability, safety, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and company policies.
- Maintain detailed project records and provide updates to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory role.
- Expertise in managing large infrastructure projects like highways or bridges.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license; OSHA certification preferred.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
