  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the purchasing field
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Supplier Relationships: Solicit bids, analyze quotations, interview prospective suppliers, and select suppliers.
  • Strategic Purchasing: Collaborate with managers to develop profitable purchasing strategies and implement effective negotiation tactics.
  • Catalog Management: Create and maintain catalogs for supported operating groups.
  • Cost-Effective Purchasing: Purchase items and services at the most favorable price while considering quality, quantity, and specifications.
  • Approval Process: Propose purchase transactions for higher authority approval prior to final action.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze markets, manage budgets, track trends in purchasing habits, and work to increase margins.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Assess and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality and performance.
  • Training and Support: Train project teams to effectively utilize the procurement system.
  • Returns Management: Arrange returns for unacceptable products to suppliers.
  • Order Tracking: Track order status from placement to delivery and communicate updates to project teams.
  • Procurement Support: Enter purchase orders, liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, and address any issues that arise.
  • Site Visits: Visit project sites or operating groups quarterly to understand challenges and streamline procurement processes.
  • Special Projects: Lead special projects as assigned.
  • Collaboration: Build effective working relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
