Our client, a sleepwear manufacturer, is looking for a Production Associate to join their team in NYC. The ideal candidate will possess a background in production, design and wholesale, with a passion for the fashion industry. Experience in sleepwear is a plus but not a requirement. This role involves supporting the production team in managing workflows, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the smooth execution of production processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the production process, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with the design team to facilitate the development of new products, from initial concept through to production.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and coordinate the procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Support the wholesale process by tracking orders, managing inventory, and assisting with product distribution.
  • Review and approve samples, ensuring they meet quality and design standards.
  • Monitor production timelines and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Prepare and maintain production documentation, including purchase orders and inventory reports.
  • Assist in resolving production issues and implementing improvements to streamline processes.
  • Provide support in other areas as needed, including merchandising and retail coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Production, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a production assistant role, with added experience in design and wholesale preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic design software (Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Experience in sleepwear or related fashion categories is a plus, but not required.


Salary: $65k-$85k
